Command Type Attributes for the #exec Directive

Attribute

Description

CGI

Executes the specified application in the context of the Web server (i.e. with access to the request and response via the ISAPI) and passes the value of any query string to the application. The application runs in a separate memory space from the Web server.

CMD

Starts an instance of the specified operating system command interpreter and executes the specified command.
