Overview

This Appendix contains a completereference of functions and keywords in VBScript 5. You will also find a list ofthe VB/VBA functions and keywords that are not supported in VBScript. Whereappropriate an alternative to an unsupported function or keyword is shown.

The function and keywordreferences are grouped in categories and they include the full syntax, anexplanation, notes, sample code, and a "See also" list. The functionreferences also include a list of named constants and their values.

Please note that there are anumber of VB constructs that are not supported in VBScript. This includes FileI/O (for security reasons), the Debug and Collection objects, some conversionfunctions, and the complete set of financial functions. For a complete list,see "Differences Between VB/VBA and VBScript" in Appendix B.
